How to install on Linux
Go to Send Anywhere File Transfer home page here and download the version for your OS. For Ubuntu or Linux Mint download the sendanywhere_latest_amd64.deb file and place it in your home directory.
Once in your home directory, open a terminal window and copy sudo dpkg -i *.deb into the terminal windows and right mouse click and hit paste. Now hit your enter key and next put in your password and wait till if finishes. If you have any dependences errors copy and past the following and answer yes when it asks. sudo apt-get install -f Now the Send Anywhere File Transfer program should be in your Menu under Internet.
Here is how you use it, it is quite simple!
Go to Menu then Internet and click on Send Anywhere to open the program!
To Send
1. Select file(s) that you want to send, then tap the yellow paper plane button.
2. This will generate a temporary 6-digit key that you can share with the receiving device.
3. Stand by.
* You also have the option to send a push alert to a nearby or recently used device
*The 6-digit key only lasts for ten minutes and if this is too short, you can upload your files for 24 hours.
To Receive
1. Once you get the 6-digit key, type-in and the transfer will start immediately.
2. Enjoy!
Log-in to skip repetitive confirmations
With each of your devices logged-in, you can share files between your devices without inputting the 6-digit key nor going through the hassle of clicking ‘accept’ to receive the file(s).
Once your files are transfered, you can move then to any directory you like. On your Android device, open your File Exploer and go to the Send Anywhere folder on the phone and then copy the files you wish to move and paste into the directory of your choice, either in the phones folders or onto your SD Card. (Note: Android 4.4 may have trouble writing to a SD Card)
