For those using Older Computer Box’s here is a great Distro that has a non pae version 32 bit only for older machine. Here is a good article about it. LXLE 12.04 and 14.04. I have used it and it’s a great OS for older machines.
After installing Linux Mint 17 XFCE (I love it, clean and FAST!!!)
I could not find out how to move the panel to the top on the screen. I don’t like it at the bottom cause when you surfing all your tabs are at the top of the screen so it’s a waste of time having to go all the way to the bottom of the screen to get to my menus and stuff.
So here is how to move the panel:
1st: Right Click on the Panel and pick Panel and then pick Panel Preferences
2nd: Then un-check the Lock Panel Box
3rd: Exit out to the panel setup box.
4th: At both ends of the panel now you will see handles, now drag from the handle the panel to the top of the screen and let go
5th: Next follow steps 1 – 3 and your done.
